“Understanding the Domain of IPR: A Wholesome Perspective”
MVP Samaj College of Pharmacy, Nashik organized an IPR Awareness and Capacity-Building Workshop on “Understanding the Domain of IPR: A Wholesome Perspective” on 29 and 31 August 2026.
The workshop was designed to enhance awareness and build capacity among participants regarding the broad domain of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), with a comprehensive perspective on its relevance to academics, research, innovation, and professional practice.
The workshop was led by Dr. Umesh Banakar, Professor and President, Banakar Consulting Services, Westfield, Indiana, USA, who served as the Lead Instructor. His expertise and international perspective provided participants with valuable insights into the multifaceted dimensions of IPR and its significance in fostering innovation and protecting intellectual creations.
The program was graced by distinguished representatives of MVP Samaj, Nashik as Chief Guests, including Adv. Nitin B. Thakare, Secretary, MVP Samaj, Nashik; Adv. Laxman Landge, Director, MVP Samaj, Nashik (Nashik City); and Shri. Ramesh Pandurang Pingale, Director, MVP Samaj, Nashik (Nashik Rural).
The workshop provided an enriching platform for participants to develop a broader understanding of IPR and its role in supporting research, innovation, technology development, and knowledge-based professional activities. The program reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting IPR awareness, research capacity building, and an innovation-oriented academic environment.
