Established in 1914, the Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj (MVP Samaj) in Nashik, Maharashtra, stands as a beacon of educational excellence and social transformation. With a legacy spanning over 111 years, MVP Samaj has been unwavering in its commitment to enlightening generations and uplifting society through knowledge. Guided by the motto “Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay” – For the Welfare and Happiness of the Masses – the Samaj has evolved into one of the largest and most respected educational institutions in India. For the financial year 2023–24, the organization operates with an impressive annual budget of ₹991.68 crores, underscoring its vast scale and impact.

Our Roots and Visionaries

The inception of MVP Samaj was driven by a group of visionary social reformers and educators deeply inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, and Rajashri Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur. Pioneers like Karmaveer Raosaheb Thorat, Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hire, Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh, Karmaveer Annasaheb Murkute, Karmaveer Ganpat Dada More, Karmaveer D. R. Bhosale, Karmaveer Adv. Baburao Thakre, Karmaveer Adv. Vithalrao Hande, Karmaveer Dr. Vasantrao Pawar, Kirtiwanrao Nimbalkar, and Vithoba Patil Khandalaskar laid the strong foundation of a movement that sought to democratize education and empower communities.

MVP Samaj is a democratically governed body supported by a vast network of 10,197 permanent members and 463 sevak members, working collaboratively to steer the organization toward its mission. A dedicated team of 11,161 employees upholds the institution’s standards of excellence and commitment.
